Swan Lake

I can never see another ballet again. Ben, Sarah, and I drove up to Los Angeles for El Cholo's mexican food and American Ballet Theatre's performance of Swan Lake. The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in the Los Angeles Music Center was plush and our seats were amazing (Thanks, Ben!). The performance was PERFECTION. Ethan Stiefel and Paloma Herrera flowed beautifully!

Universal Studios

Sara, Anina, Mom, and I took a trip up to Universal Studios. It's really unfair to Universal Studios that Disneyland is so amazing. Everyone goes to Universal Studios with high expectations and leaves disappointed. Here's a few pictures.

Eddie Izzard

I secretly thank Gwen every day for bringing Eddie Izzard into my life. Eddie is coming back to stand up this August in Hollywood! Naturally, we're going and bringing Ben and Doug along. Only Eddie can do stand up on European history while dressed in drag.

"If women fall over wearing heels, that's embarrassing; but if a bloke falls over wearing heels, then you have to kill yourself! End of your life!"

No Physics Lab!

After a fight with the Physics Department and Revelle Academic Advising, I prevailed! I don't have to take the physics lab. But physics lecture is bad enough.

Big Red Ball

Dad bought Klaus a big red ball.

It's Finals Week! Again? Indeed! We are finishing up our second quarter. I've got it pretty easy this time around with only two finals, one being a take home paper. I finished three classes (two ballet and my conservation class) this past week so I'm down to two left.

Dad, Ben, and I got iPhones. The iPhone surpassed my expectations; it's awesome!

Smilin' Klaus

Dad took Klaus to Norco today to go flying in the 70 m.p.h. wind. Klaus had a blast.

Cinderella

California Ballet's Cinderella performance was humorous and enjoyable. I didn't care for their principal dancer, Jennifer Curry. She was not graceful, though her performance in the pas de duex was impressive. In addition, California Ballet's Customer Service was lacking. Unless they promote their soloist, Chie Kudo (pictured), to a principal position I do not think I will see another one of their performances. Kudo outshines everyone on the stage; it is a shame that they push Curry's uninspiring dancing to the forefront of every one of their performances.
