John Legend
Last night Gwen and I went to see John Legend at UC San Diego's RIMAC Arena. It was nice to be back on campus. John Legend has a way of turning a large arena of spectators into a intimate gathering of friends. The last time I saw him live was with Ben in Switzerland at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Apart from the unique atmosphere in Montreux, the two performances were equally amazing. Legend sounds better live than on his albums. Unfortunately I didn't know they were allowing cameras into the arena or I would have brought mine so I've got a blurry iPhone photo to share.

Yorba Cemetery
I noticed a sign for Yorba Cemetery that I had never seen before. Sara and I went to look for this cemetery that we didn't even know existed within our city limits. Turns out it was founded in 1834 and is the resting place of Bernardo Yorba. It's the second private cemetery in Orange County behind Mission Cemetery in Capistrano. It's out of place as it is surrounded by track homes and a tennis court.

Upper Moro
I'm still sore from this hike with Ben in Crystal Cove. It was 7.7 miles long. In the first 2.25 miles we ascended 839 feet. One of the trails is aptly named "Big F***ing Incline" (BFI for short). Newport Coast is beautiful. Lots of wildlife. We found Turkey Vultures at our lunch stop and bobcat prints on the way.
