Santa Ana Winds
We're experiencing our first strong Santa Ana winds this Fall. The winds peaked at 83 m.p.h. through a nearby pass. The largest eucalyptus tree in our backyard was blown over while Sara and I were watching. It was taller than the eucalyptus on the far left. The winds are supposed to increase overnight. Fire watch 2008!

Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and it was fabulous! My family and Ben treated me to lunch at Blue Agave (the fajitas and the company were excellent). Later in the evening mom and I ate at Scott's Seafood next to the Orange County Performing Arts Center (Yum, Scallops!). We walked over to the theatre to catch Kirov Ballet's performance of Don Quixote. Diana Vishneva is amazing! I prefer her classical ballet to her contemporary dancing any day! (Check out an earlier post on her Beauty In Motion performance). Overall it was very beautiful and the dancers were powerful. I'm looking forward to spending some time in San Diego on Friday with friends I miss dearly.
