Random desert sighting. Well, not so random. It's the site of Patton's desert training camp. They had an array of tanks.

Thunderstorms

We've tried to play golf three days and a row and we cannot get past nine and a half holes before lightening strikes. Tuesday we tried to play the Country Club. After an hour of waiting we went out despite the warning. After three holes and pouring rain we gave up. Wednesday we tee'd off on the 10th hole then had to pick up our balls and race to the car. Finally this morning we got through nine holes in the rain, but not lightening thankfully. We're heading back to Arizona in the morning.

Continental Divide

Driving through Arizona and New Mexico. Bugs, fireworks, pecan trees, and white sands. The White Sands Missile Range was actually pretty green from all of the rain. We had dinner last night with Great Aunts and Uncles that I've never met (that I remember...).

Eddie Izzard!

Ben and I drove up to Hollywood to meet Gwen and Doug at the Kodak Theatre. Eddie Izzard did no disappoint! I even got to see the Hollywood sign from a distance on the freeway, Scientologists, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
